FREE Childhood Educator Certification Program

Requirements:

The program aims to provide individuals with the skills and qualifications needed for a career in early childhood education.

It is open to those who meet the following requirements:

Minimum Language Requirements and Equivalencies for ECE Level 1

Canadian Language Benchmark: minimum Level 6 (CLB assessments can be done through CLARC: https://settlementcalgary.com/clarc-registration)
CELPIP: minimum 6 across all categories
IELTS: minimum 5.0 (reading); 5.5 (Writing, Listening, Speaking)
OR: Successful completion of an Alberta Education English Language Arts course that is consistent with the specified academic admission requirements for the Career Program
OR: Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of three years of full-time secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction
OR: Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of one year of full-time post-secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction

2. Must be 18+

3. Minimum of High School education completed.

4. Legally entitled to work in Canada and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) holder.
