  • The “Virgen María de las Nieves” Community Kitchen provides daily breakfast to children and families living in extreme poverty in Lima, Peru.
  • The “Virgen María de las Nieves” Community Kitchen is located in a poor community in Lima, Peru.
  • It serves 50 families living in extreme poverty.
    When resources allow, lunch is provided.

  • Organized and participatory community.
  • Young volunteers.

Challenges

  • Difficult and remote access.
  • Lack of basic services.
  • Low budget for health and education.
  • High infant mortality.

What can we do?

  • Provide basic supplies to the dinning room.
  • Nutrition programs
  • Figh anemia with iron supplements
